This book is very interesting. I appreciate the author’s focus on making this understandable. I particularly liked the case files and the odd twists and turns. I would recommend this timely book to anyone wanting a smooth, easy read and who is curious about how epidemiology works. While the final section makes great points about American healthcare, I ordered this mostly for the cases, but the final section was an eye-opener. Definitely far different from what the politicians tell us.

This book is a great read and peels back the layers of epidemiology. Whether you are an epidemiologist or looking to venture out into the field, this book will certainly provide a bird’s eye view into the profession and the healthcare industry.
